Sustainability

It is our mission to work with spinners and finishers to create the highest possible added value with the smallest possible ecological footprint. Linen being one of the oldest fabrics has been popular for centuries and it is still valued for its durability & sustainability. It is strong, naturally anti-bacterial, and made from flax plant fibers, so when untreated it is fully biodegradable. There is negligible use of fertilizers or pesticides for its cultivation. This means it is a renewable resource, one that is fast growing and can be produced without damaging the environment.

We manufacture Hemp fabric well known for its considerable carbon-negative qualities – the crop absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere than it releases. It needs less land & water to grow this high-yielding crop, furthermore use of fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides, or fungicides is not required to protect it, making it a very sustainable and organic cultivation process.
